speaker_lubettCurrent Role: Lecturer in Development Studies, All Nations Christian College, Ware, UK. Roland has been working or teaching in poverty and development for 40 years: mostly in the Pacific - Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Vanuatu - and in Tanzania, where he worked as a development manager with the Diocese of Ruaha.

Roland has also carried out short-term consultancies on socio-economic and community development, for the World Bank, AusAID and other clients. He has a passion for integral mission and holistic work with the poor, for justice, peace and the renewal of creation. Roland fills most of his leisure time with singing or playing music, walking along canals, and forgetting to turn on or charge his mobile phone. He is married to Tandy, a Papua New Guinea national from the 'volcano town' of Rabaul. They have three daughters: Fiona, Tania and Naomi.
